Seeun Oh is an accomplished violist, celebrated for her dynamic performances as a chamber
musician, soloist, and orchestral musician. She collaborates with various ensembles, including
Symphony New Hampshire, Albany Symphony, and New World Symphony. Notable solo
performances include her appearance at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, sponsored by the
American Fine Arts Festival, as well as her performance as a soloist with the Great Lakes
Symphony. Additionally, she debuted her solo recital at Kumho Arts Hall as part of the Young
Artist Series, sponsored by the Kumho Arts Foundation.
A recipient of numerous prestigious awards, Ms. Oh has been honored with the MCST Award
(Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Arts) from the South Korean government. She has won first
prizes from the American Fine Arts Festival, along with top honors from the Korean Musical
Association and the Korea Times.
Seeun holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A) degree from Boston University, where she
studied under Prof. Michelle LaCourse. She completed her Master of Music and Graduate Diploma at the New England Conservatory studying with the renowned Grammy Award-winning violist Prof. Kim Kashkashian and was awarded both the Presidential Scholarship and the Sidney and Esther Rabb Foundation Scholarship. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Seoul National University, graduating with a merit scholarship under Prof. Eunsik Choi.
