Upbeat New Hampshire works in partnership with the Nashua School District and United Way of Greater Nashua (our fiscal agent.) There is no cost to the school district and the program is funded through private donations and grants to ensure equitable access for all students. All students receive an instrument to use for the school year at no charge. Upbeat New Hampshire promotes social learning and good study skills by enabling a student to be part of a group of peers working as a team.

We begin violin, viola and cello instruction on-site at the students’ elementary school with semi-private lessons with just 3 students per 30 minute lesson. Each student receives 30 lessons per school year. Middle school and high school students may continue after school lessons at Nashua North. We offer after-school double bass lessons to students in 4th grade and older after-school at Nashua North. Cello students attend after-school lessons at Nashua North High school. Students that are in the program and move to another school may enroll each year.
