Hailing from South Florida, violinist/violist Rebecca Tozzie is pursuing a Performance Diploma at Boston University as a student of Bayla Keyes. Previously she received her Master of Music and a Performance Certificate/Suzuki Violin Teaching Certificate (Units 1-8) at East Carolina University (ECU) while studying with Ara Gregorian and Hye-Jin Kim. She received her Bachelor of Music at Florida State University while studying with Benjamin Sung.
At Boston University, she serves as a Graduate Assistant Orchestra Manager. While at ECU, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant under Ara Gregorian where she taught supplementary violin lessons to undergraduate students. Rebecca has studied at summer music institutes including the Madeline Island Chamber Music Festival, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Kinhaven Young Artist Seminar, Brevard Music Center, and Meadowmount School of Music. Rebecca was the Director of the Afterschool Suzuki Violin Program at The Oakwood Lower School (Greenville, NC) from 2019-2022 and taught Suzuki Violin Group Classes at the Bath Elementary School (Bath, NC) in 2021-2022.
